Brian Miller (Business Development Manager) read biochemistry and solid-State Chemistry before commencing Ph.D studies on a Ministry of Defence research award at RARDE, Fort Halstead (Kent); and, at the universities of WaIes (UCW Aberystwyth) and Manchester. He worked in the MoiecuIar Beam Epitaxy department at GEC Hirst Research Centre in Wembiey progressing to Senior Principal Research Scientist. Then Brian joined the MBE system manufacturing industry most recently with RIBER where his main focus has been on production MBE markets in Asia, especially China. ln Nov. 2022, he was appointed to his current position in the newly created Business Development Group.
This presentation explores the growth prospects for GaN molecular beam epitaxy. Focusing on key applications such as RF and UV-C, we examine how MBE offers competitive advantages. We will detail Riber's product range for GaN, highlighting innovative designs and system configuration, to minimize downtime, optimize characterization and volume production. Highlighting the simplicity of the MBE process, we illustrate significant potential for GaN growth through MBE, illustrating how this technology opens up promising opportunities.
